Atletico Madrid striker Joao Felix set to speak to agents amid interest from Manchester United
Manchester United are monitoring Joao Felix’s situation at Atletico Madrid, according to A Bola (h/t Express). The 22-year-old is unhappy with Los Rojiblancos.
Mark claims Felix lost faith in Atletico manager Diego Simeone after being left on the bench against Club Brugge. It was a draw for the Spanish giants. However, the match ended in a draw. And the La Liga club are now on the verge of leaving their group.
The Portugal international is unstable at Atletico and has met with agent Jorge Mendes to discuss his future. The 22-year-old wants to leave the Madrid club. However, he is tied to Los Colchoneros until 2026.
Alongside the Red Devils, Premier League sides Liverpool and Manchester City are also ‘attentive to the situation‘. European giants Barcelona and Bayern Munich also have their eye on the young striker.
Felix has had a strong start to the 2022/23 campaign. However, since then, the 22-year-old has seen himself fall down the pecking order. Simeone preferred Antoine Griezmann over the Portuguese in recent weeks.
Since arriving in the Spanish capital in 2019, Felix has failed to establish himself as a regular in the team. The forward has failed to deliver for Atletico consistently over the years.
The Old Trafford side have strengthened their front line with the arrival of Antony from Ajax. The Brazilian reunited with Erik ten Hag in Manchester. And the 22-year-old kicked off his career in a red forefoot shirt.
But United apparently need to strengthen their frontline in the near future. Cristiano Ronaldo is 37 and it would be wise for the Red Devils to find a long-term replacement for the five-time Ballon d’Or winner.

Félix is still young and has a lot of room for improvement. However, will United pursue the 22-year-old in the next transfer windows? Only time will tell.
