The 2021-2022 English Premier League (EPL) title race seems to be picking up speed now. The engagements of Gameweek 11 took place this weekend. On the headliner side, the Manchester Derby was the main attraction, while the result was in favor of the desirable team, as we present the results of this week of play involving the best teams.
Manchester City dominate Manchester United
City, third, traveled to face United, a struggling sixth, at Old Trafford. With the visitor being the favorite to win, the match ended in the first half itself, as an own goal from Eric Bailly (7) and Bernardo Silva (45) sealed it. Obviously, agony and pressure have again built up on United manager Ole Gunnar Solskjær.

Chelsea held in shocking draw by Burnley
The Chelsea table top hosted 18th Burnley, while the former was an absolute favorite to win the draw. However, the former displayed chic football to hold the fort. While Kai Havertz (33) gave the Blues the lead, Matej Vydra (79) equalized it and never again gave the host a chance to bounce back. However, the defeat did not seriously injure Thomas Tuchel’s men.
Tottenham Hotspur held scoreless by Everton
Tottenham have had an eventful week following the sacking of Nuno Espírito Santo before being replaced by Antonio Conte. Meanwhile, the Italian didn’t get off to a good start as Spurs were held scoreless against 11th-placed Everton on the road. The draw forces Tottenham to stay in ninth place, but the squad is expected to improve in the coming weeks.
Leicester City held by Leeds United
In another draw, Leicester had a tough outing against 15th-placed Leeds as the game ended in a 1-1 draw. While Raphinha (26) gave the advantage to the Peacocks, Harvey Barnes (28) quickly equalized. However, the Foxes struggled to penetrate the Leeds defense as a draw was only a possible outcome that both could be content with, while the former fell to 12th place.

Liverpool shocked by West Ham United
Liverpool faced West Ham, away. While this was a favorite to win the clash, it turned out to be a shocking challenge. The Reds conceded with a goal against goalkeeper Alisson Becker (4) before Trent Alexander-Arnold (41) equalized. However, Pablo Fornals (67) and Kurt Zouma (74) restored and extended the lead by a few goals. Although Divock Origi (83) fell back, it was not enough as Jürgen Klopp’s men fell to fourth place.
