Manchester United want to keep Edinson Cavani at Old Trafford next month amid interest in Uruguayan striker Barcelona.
Cavani has been linked with a move to Camp Nou in the January transfer window to replace Sergio Aguero who has been forced to retire from football this week due to an irregular heartbeat.
Barca are also chasing Manchester City’s Ferran Torres with an offer currently around £ 42million.

After signing a new 12-month contract this summer, Cavani has only made three starts for United this season due to a tendon problem in his leg and the return of Cristiano Ronaldo as the first-choice striker of United.
