Would you prefer? Liverpool v Real Madrid or Manchester City

Liverpool made a comeback after appearing to lose to Villarreal in the Champions League semi-final. The Reds had the advantage in the first leg but it was soon shattered when Boulaye Dia and Francis Coquelin delivered their strikes. Buthey scraped in the final 12 minutes, scoring three goals to seal the deal and advance to the Champions League final.

This is Liverpool’s third Champions League final in five seasons. They became the fourth team to reach the European Cup/UCL final on more than 10 occasions after Real Madrid, Bayern Munich and Milan. Coach Jürgen Klopp reached the final for the 4th time as a manager, who is now the biggest manager in the competition.

Liverpool v Manchester City or Liverpool v Real Madrid

Now that Liverpool have qualified for the Champions League final, they are awaiting the results of the Real Madrid vs Manchester City game. Madrid and City play the second leg of their semi-final tonight and it’s currently 3-4 in favor of City.

Real Madrid was able to beat PSG and then survive Chelsea. They have Karim Benzema, who has been a weapon for them this year. If you ask Mohamed Salah, he would prefer the challenge of playing at Madrid.

“I want to play in Madrid,” Salah said. “City are a really tough team; we have played against them a few times this season. If you ask me personally, I would prefer Madrid.

Some fans agree. One person said after the game against Villarreal: “We need Real Madrid. Because of Mo Salah’s shoulder [injury in 2018]”. Apparently, that’s enough of a deciding factor for many.

On the other hand, Manchester City have depth and strength and are yearning for a Champions League win. They are the rivals of the Reds, the best team in Europe at the moment and perhaps an even tougher challenge. But some Liverpool fans would still prefer to play against City.

“I prefer Manchester City,” one fan said after the Villarreal game. “Because Real Madrid are in very good shape thanks to Benzema play very good football. I think we will have better chances against Manchester City.
